Larry Craig's Architectural Tell?:
As rude reader Jeff points out, the Wells Fargo building in downtown Boise, where future ex-Senator Larry Craig made his "I am so not gay" speech, was an odd choice for a man trying to put off accusations about his sexual orientation. The building, as you can see from Google maps, is a triangle.
A triangle, pink or rainbow or other, of course, is the long-time symbol of the gay pride movement.
Reading too much into minor details? Perhaps. Loads o' fun? You betcha.
Corrected version: Earlier, this post said that Craig made his resignation announcement at the Wells Fargo building. This was a fuck-up. As astute rude reader BP wrote in, today Craig spoke at the Boise Depot. Still, the joke works, and isn't that what really matters?
