This was the scene yesterday on the land where the Battle of Gettysburg took place 150 years ago today.
That's a reenactment of that bloody battle. Boy, it's smoky. Hope no one's asthma acted up.

Hey, you wanna have a hobby? You wanna dress up and play soldier without a risk of anything beyond a twisted ankle and a few sweat stains? It's cool. Hell, you wanna play the bad guys, the South, that's cool, too. Anything to get you out of the house, you know? Everyone loves to be Darth Vader.
But if you dress up like a rebel and say you do so because you believe in the "cause" of the Confederacy, as some of the re-enactors do? If you still use bullshit phrases like "states' rights"? Then you don't really understand the meaning of the battle. And you further dishonor the dishonorable dead.
