In Foreign Policy, Trump Learns That White Doesn't Make Right

Racists try really fucking hard to mask their ignorance and fear with all kinds of bullshit ways of saying racist things and enacting racist policies (when in a position to do that). Because when all you've got is "white makes right," you've gotta fill it out with all kinds of utterly dull comments about the superiority of the Greeks or Romans or other Europeans (not you, Albanians, and they're a little dicey on Spaniards. Oh,  and the less said about Jews, the better), and then you just sound pathetic because white people have been as savage and stupid and destructive as any group of humans. Just because you've got Shakespeare doesn't mean you don't have a penchant for slaughtering each other over stupid shit or because you've got insane leaders.

All of this is a roundabout way of saying that Donald Trump is sold to racists as some kind of pinnacle of the innate superiority of whiteness, and it's kind of hilarious that he's so fucking dumb and so fucking blind to his own flaws that he just keeps punching himself under his gut in his tiny ballsack every single time he attempts to assert his illusionary white superiority over non-white leadership in other countries. 

The thing about Trump and all the idiots, greedy pricks, and hangers-on who enable him is that they think that their whiteness is a superpower when, really, it's their tragic flaw. 

What we've seen in the last several months is a display about the inevitable doom of whiteness in the modern world. Defense Secretary and someone with resting "I'm gonna roofie a chick" face Pete Hegseth fired experienced leadership in the military and also fired any white man who thought that non-white men and women in general shouldn't be fired or denied promotions just because they're not white men. Fuck you for being an ally, General.

These stupid shits didn't realize that diversity, equity, and inclusion isn't about elevating people who don't deserve it. It's about making sure that you don't avoid hiring qualified people because of your own unconscious biases or conscious bigotry. DEI is just a shorthand way of saying, "Hey, you white douche, don't be a fucking asshole." But, of course, Hegseth is only a fucking asshole. It's the only aspect of his personality that still exists. 

Of course, Hegseth's fuckery (and inexperience) affected the war with Iran. Add to that the State Department getting DOGEd in the ass by Elon Musk and his brigade of pasty incels, who culled the joint of diplomats with expertise in Near and Middle East affairs. Yeah, who needed those pinheads?

What Trump and Hegseth thought was that Iran would just crumble under a US/Israel bombardment and be done within days. They really had the colonial mindset about the East (Near, Middle, Far) that has fucked over the white West repeatedly, from Vietnam to Afghanistan (for the USSR and, to an extent, the US) to Iraq and a thousand other examples. It's the shit that Edward Said wrote about, the white rapists' view of the East as, essentially, an easily fuckable woman. And no matter how many times the East cuts the nuts off a rapist, the next rapist goes back thinking they're totally gonna overpower a country this time. That's easier to attempt when you've gotten rid of everyone around you who says, "This is a terrible fucking idea and you're gonna end up with your sack removed."

So, yeah, Trump might, as he's threatened again, commit genocide in Iran, but that just shows how weak he is and what absolute nonsense this belief in the superiority of whiteness is. Jesus, they thought they could send Jared "Bitch Eyes" Kushner to negotiate peace and that Iran would bow down. What these dumb motherfuckers have learned is that other countries have actually competent leaders who have an understanding of what makes their enemies weak. In the case of Iran, you have religious zealots who will mass slaughter their own people and who gave in once on its nuclear ambitions with the JCPOA, only to see our troglodyte president rip up the deal. You'd have to be an irrational idiot to believe anything Trump says has any permanence, and the Iranian leadership may be irrational, but they're not idiots. The war is a rank failure, and Trump has dicked over the entire globe, except for Russia and, frankly, Iran, and Iran knows it.

That same stench of filled diaper and pit sweat failure hangs over Trump's shambolic bumblefuck in China. He thought he could charm and cajole Chinese President Xi Jinping, and Xi played Trump like an erhu, getting himself and China elevated to an equal superpower in the world economy. Trump spent his time acting like a bumpkin child, embarrassingly overpraising both China and Xi, prostrating himself by hinting that he'd bail on Taiwan and prostituting US corporations like a louche pimp with a syphilitic line-up. Again, Trump was dealing with a leader who, despite being an absolute monster in many ways, lives in the real world, with investment in alternate energy and high functioning infrastructure (at least in the cities). Xi even shit on the US to Trump's stupid face, and Trump just grinned like the moron that he is. 

There's your avatar of white racial superiority, completely steamrolled by non-white leaders. Non-Western nations won't bow down; the racists were completely fucking wrong. And unless you are determined to completely eliminate those countries and people, then your racist ass needs to accept that this is the world we live in. We can be part of it, with immigration and free trade and maybe a bit of humility, or we'll be told to go fuck ourselves out of existence.

Trump Sets His Idiot Hordes on Justices Gorsuch and Barrett Over Birthright Citizenship

Over on Truth Toilet, President Donald Trump, who should be put in a room with a bear, a lion, a shark, and a squirrel and then asked if he can tell the difference, posted a long attack on the Supreme Court. Or, really, on two justices he appointed, Neil Gorsuch and Amy Coney Barrett. He starts, "I 'Love' Justice Neil Gorsuch! He’s a really smart and good man, but he voted against me, and our Country, on Tariffs, a devastating move. How do I reconcile this? So bad, and hurtful to our Country. I have, likewise, always liked and respected Amy Coney Barrett, but the same thing with her. They were appointed by me, and yet have hurt our Country so badly!" 

Trump has no concept of how government functions. He didn't give a fuck that there are agencies and departments (like Justice) that are supposed to be able act independently from the president, only adhering to the law and the Constitution that they, you know, like him, took a vow to uphold. He has never given a fuck that he doesn't own the government and all its buildings, that he's the employee of the citizens of the United States and not our CEO. So he decided to contort it all in his image. He has force-fucked all the areas of the executive branch repeatedly until they have simply collapsed and just lets him have his way with them. And even though the Supreme Court and other courts have given him wide latitude to commit crimes without any kind of consequences, it's not enough. Time to rape the Judicial Branch because it won't just lay back all the time and take it.

In one of the truly fucked up things Trump has said, not just this weekend (although it's tempting to time limit it) but in his entire cursed presidency, he continued his Truth Toilet dump about Gorsuch and Barrett, "They have to do the right thing, but it’s really OK for them to be loyal to the person that appointed them to 'almost' the highest position in the land, that is, a Justice of the United States Supreme Court." Take that fuckery in and let it marinate for a couple of moments. The president of the United States is demanding that judges he appoint do his bidding. In other words, fuck the law, fuck the Constitution, fuck any oaths, fuck ethics, fuck it all. Trump is the country and the country is Trump and there is no in-between. 

What becomes clear as the post goes on is that Trump has been given a heads up that Gorsuch and Barrett are voting against him in the case of Trump v. Barbara. That's the birthright citizenship case, which asks if Trump's executive order ending birthright citizenship violates the 14th Amendment, which it clearly does and it's stupid we're even talking about it but four justices are cocks about it. So it looks like Trump knows he's gonna lose.

I'm not making this up about Trump knowing. He says it: "I choose people to help our Country, not to hurt it, and now, based on what I witnessed recently by being the first President in History to attend a Supreme Court session (Which fact was not even recognized or acknowledged, out of respect for the position of President, by the Court — Something which did not go unnoticed by the Fake News Media!), they will be ruling against us on Birthright Citizenship, making us the only Country in the World that practices this unsustainable, unsafe, and incredibly costly DISASTER. I don’t want loyalty, but I do want and expect it for our Country." Putting aside the lie that he keeps repeating about the number of countries that have birthright citizenship (it's 33, which I've been led to believe is more than zero), how do you state that so plainly unless you were told what the decision would be? 

Because no decision is set until it's released, what else is clear is that Trump is trying to intimidate Gorsuch and Barrett into changing their votes on the case by being so personal in his hurt and so specific in his attacks. He is setting his idiot hordes on them for death threats and doxxing and other bullshit. Trump only knows rape and gangsterism. It's how he's lived his whole life. If he can't fuck it or make money from it, then he will punish it. So now the two justices must suffer unless they wise up. He knows that it just takes a word from him and the hordes will swarm them.

(Quick aside, if it's just Gorsuch and Barrett among the conservatives who support the plain text of the 14th Amendment, that's so unbelievably fucked that it's kind of stomach-churning that the entire Constitution is hanging on by a 5-4 fraying thread.)

Also, it seems like Trump was butthurt that the justices didn't pause their hearing on the case to recognize that he was in the courtroom. Motherfucker, the president isn't the boss of the Supreme Court. I know that the legislative branch controlled by the GOP has decided that it's just there to be a cum dump for Trump. But the branches are allegedly coequal. One is not in charge of the other. Sonia Sotomayor didn't walk into the Oval Office, slap Putin's dick out of Trump's mouth, and demand he pay attention to her. 

The post finishes with "Well, maybe Neil, and Amy, just had a really bad day, but our Country can only handle so many decisions of that magnitude before it breaks down, and cracks!!! Sometimes decisions have to be allowed to use Good, Strong, Common Sense as a guide. A negative ruling on Birthright Citizenship, on top of the recent Supreme Court Tariff catastrophe, is not Economically sustainable for the United States of America!" Let us pause to consider a grown man, a senior citizen, the president, no less, punctuating something with three exclamation points like an enraged tween who didn't get Olivia Rodrigo tickets. More importantly, somehow, for over a century, the country was functioning just fine without his arbitrary tariffs and with birthright citizenship. But, fuck, let's just pretend it was all a giant shitstorm prior to the brilliant Donald Trump recognizing that what we really needed was to raise prices on everything and decimate the working class. 

Trump's weekend rants are usually deserving of eyerolls. But he's working the refs here, and underlying everything is always a threat. Let's not be naive and think that this is anything else.

(Note: I left out the part where Trump once again goes through all the ways he claims he won a "landslide" in 2024. He did not. Not even close. He counts the number of counties he won. Land is not people. Land doesn't vote.)

The Conservative Supreme Court Majority Stops Pretending It's Not Racist and Republicans Gladly Follow Suit

Last week, the New York Times (motto: "The people eating at red state diners are fucking sick of us") reported on the failure of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission to find cases of discrimination against white men. Oh, they're trying to find 'em because that's what the racists in White House are demanding. Based on nothing more than aggrieved dickheads in the manosphere and other fact-free sources, the EEOC back in December said it was shifting to a "conservative view" of what racism is, meaning that it's white people, especially men, who are the victims. So they put out the call for whiny white twatmites to file cases with the agency, and, well, "staff in several districts said they were struggling to find complaints with merit. And they said they were pressed by their superiors to look for reasons to keep those cases alive, even when evidence was weak."

Lemme bottom line it: there is virtually no demonstrable discrimination against white men in the workplace (or anywhere else) unless you assert that the act of hiring non-white people and women is discrimination. The attack on diversity, equity, and inclusion programs is a sham, especially since DEI programs help everyone (like white men with disabilities, for instance). And they are not illegal, despite what the Trump administration keeps saying as if it can force-fuck the idea into being.

But it's an item of faith on the right (and has been for decades) that traditional civil rights enforcement is all about harming white people. Or, if you see yourself as a more enlightened racist asshole, you might say, "It was once necessary, but it's not anymore because racism is over." Of course, you'd have to ignore the fact that Black Americans earn 36% less than white Americans, and that this disparity holds true across jobs at all levels. Oh, and the Black unemployment rate is nearly double the white one. I mean, fuck, just look at the Trump Administration and you can see the bleaching of the national identity. Any time there's a cabinet meeting, it's like a Klan rally. Add in how law enforcement and the courts treat non-white people, and, well, you gotta lie pretty hard to say racism is dead.

This flawed thinking is behind the Supreme Court's fucked but inevitable decision in Callais v. Louisiana, which ripped the guts out of Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act "which had provided a pathway to assure that voters of color would have some rudimentary fair representation." The decision invalidated a congressional district map that gave Louisiana two majority Black districts after a federal court decision told the state in 2024 that it had to create the map with the 2 districts or the court would make do it for the state. After putting the case on hold in 2024, the savage conservative majority on the Supreme Court took it on for the sole purpose of killing the VRA. In a heavy legalese decision, Justice Samuel "YouTube right-wingers made me even crazier" Alito said, in essence, a map that considers race is racist so you can stop considering race and just make maps that have majority white people since they elect Republicans and that's totally not racist. In other words, the majority's decision is racist bullshit. 

Never to be outdone on racism, Justice Clarence "No one hates Black people more than me" Thomas said in a concurrence that while Alito pretended that he wasn't killing Section 2, he would have double-tapped it.

So Louisiana, a state that is one-third Black and has six seats in the House of Representatives (see how math works?), will now redraw the map for November's election to completely eliminate the two majority Black districts. The only way to do that is to carve up New Orleans, a city that is 55% Black, and the only reason you wouldn't have a New Orleans district is to prevent a Black person (who will likely be a Democrat) from being elected. The same goes for Baton Rouge, another majority Black city. Rational division of the state would give its two most populous cities a district each. But Republicans aren't looking to draw maps fairly. They are going to carve up those cities and Shreveport (third largest, also majority Black) and combine them with white suburbs and rural parishes and deliberately dilute the color out of them. And the Supreme Court will not call that "racist."

And lemme tell you: Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry is a motherfucker of insatiable appetites. He will fuck mothers as often and as viciously as he can, and he's cheered on by the shit show at the fuck factory that is the Louisiana legislature. So, yeah, fuck early voting that has already gotten under way in all other races. Landry is declaring a state of emergency (no, really), calling back the legislature to redo the map, and suspending voting for the primaries for congressional seats to get it done, even though a couple hundred thousand absentee ballots have gone out, including to troops overseas, and, Jesus fuck, what a clusterfuck just to be racist as quickly and intensely as possible. Other red states are likely going to join in, and lawsuits are sprouting like weeds, as they should be, to choke this effort out.

This is the country the racists want, where we're always scrambling to make shit more racist. And the racists are in charge, and they are aggrieved like toddlers who were just told they can't have their fifth cookie. It's never enough. You'd think the fact that all these white people got elected and run the courts and everything would prove that some kind of racism against whites isn't actually real. But reality always fucks things up for them even as they fuck up reality.

Random Observations on Another Weird Attempted "Assassination"

1. The quotation marks around "assassination" in the title are not because I believe in any of the conspiracy bullshit about the attempt by Cole Tomas Allen to kill someone at the White House Correspondents' Dinner last night. It's comforting to think that our enemies are so competent that they can stage shootings with ease any time they think it might bolster Donald Trump's low approval ratings. But always remember: the more people needed for a conspiracy means the less likely a conspiracy is real. No, the reason for implying it was a so-called assassination attempt is because Allen never got anywhere near close enough to actually attempt to kill Trump or a member of his administration. Even Trump said this. Allen made it to the metal detectors near the stairs leading to the Hilton ballroom. Besides, we live in the goddamn United States. We're never far away from someone shooting a gun. It's what we are debased enough to call "freedom."

2. However, if I were inclined towards conspiracies, it sure as fuck seems like the real reason would be to get Trump's goddamn golden ballroom/Hitler bunker built. Probably that's more "never let a crisis go to waste" than anything else. But, still, it's fucking weird how the quickly coordinated reaction on the right was that the violence meant that courts and historical preservation groups and Democrats and, well, most of the general public should back the fuck off and let the ballroom be finished. Sen. Tim Sheehy, a Republican scumfucker from Montana, said he's introducing legislation to approve the ballroom construction. They are fucking shameless. 

2a. What's the point here in saying that events like this should take place in the fortress ballroom? The WHCD is not a White House-sponsored thing. Trump was a guest of the association running the dinner. The implication is that Trump will rent out the ballroom like the White House is another one of his shitty hotels (and there's no doubt that he'd keep at least a taste of that money, if not the whole thing). The entire effort, the unrelenting push for and hype about the ballroom, is not simply unseemly. It's shady. It's skeevy. It's got grift and graft written all over it, and, you know, we're at war in a sinking economy and how the fuck is this even a thing.

2b. And fuck John Fetterman again and forever for jumping on the ballroom bandwagon. 

2c. Trump keeps saying that presidents have been wanting a giant-ass ballroom for "150 years." I don't recall any president in my lifetime mentioning it at all. Was Chester Arthur hot for one? Or Grover Cleveland, non-consecutively? And Teddy Roosevelt did whatever the fuck he wanted to the White House. If he wanted a ballroom, he'd have had one fucking well built.

2d. Maybe someone could spend a few minutes talking about how gun control would make the president and everyone else safer. Maybe spare a thought or two for all the people fucking shot and killed in mass shootings recently. Maybe think about how to make life easier for kids at schools so they don't have to worry about getting slaughtered in their classrooms. Maybe stop to consider how, in a country flooded with guns, this shit was inevitable.

3. The shooter's "manifesto" (if by "manifesto," you mean, "a friendly letter that is weirdly well thought-out") was pretty fucking clear about what he thought of Trump. He said, "I am no longer willing to permit a pedophile, rapist, and traitor to coat my hands with his crimes." And of the attendees at the dinner, "[M]ost people *chose* to attend a speech by a pedophile, rapist, and traitor, and are thus complicit." I'm not handing it to Allen or excusing his violence, but I will say that a fuck of a lot of people really and truly believe this about Trump (me included). And by the Department of Justice refusing to release the Epstein files, by refusing to name anyone else involved, by never investigating the allegations against Trump, then it's pretty easy and logical to reach the conclusion that something is being hidden. This isn't conspiracy thinking. There's tons of evidence, with witnesses and victims who have gone on the record, under oath, to law enforcement and Congress. Again, I'm not supporting violence, but, again, in a country filled to the tits with guns and people who think, not without cause, that the president is a pedophile? It's frankly surprising that there isn't more violence trying to get the answers. 

4. I'm not saying everyone who attended deserved to think they were going to die. (I'm not saying no one deserved to think that, either.) Save for the White House press pool, which is there to write about events as news, if you went to the dinner, you were taking part in a complete whitewashing of Trump's disdain for you, and, after Allen was captured, you were laughing with the targets of the shooter, taking selfies for your Instas, making dramatic TikToks about your trauma. You were giving aid and comfort to the people who want you imprisoned if you dare to speak against them. If you believe in signs that maybe you should do things differently in the future, dear, sweet, profit-driven, craven media whores and your corporate pimps, this would be it. God, don't fucking take a mulligan and try to do the dinner again.

4a. And fuck off if you're saying that Democrats and progressive media figures should "turn down the rhetoric" against Trump or whatever the fuck. Clarence Thomas recently gave a speech where he implied that progressives should be killed or kicked out of the country. Stephen Miller regularly rails against Americans who oppose the administration, calling them "traitors" and implying they need to be executed. Trump and his cabal of crypto cons and cockscabs are murdering people without trial, imprisoning families for months for no reason, trying to strip Americans of citizenship, murdering protesters, and threatening genocide. It's impossible to reach that level of actual violence with rhetoric. 

4b. Man, that was a shitty mentalist.

5. As Will Bunch wrote, this is our country now. We are so numb to gun violence that we roll our eyes at someone even getting somewhat close to being able to make an assassination attempt. We are numb to the constant barrage of hatefulness. We are so bereft of anything approaching a unifying leader that the media is willing to treat Trump with kid gloves if he pretends for a few minutes to not be an inflamed asshole. In the two days prior to last night's events, Trump made racist attacks on Hakeem Jeffries and Candace Owen, reposted calls for Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama to be arrested, celebrated committing more war crimes, and that's just to start. We don't have to pretend that a motherfucker isn't a motherfucker just because someone wanted to kill him. 

A Short Exegesis on Jesus Trump

We can tell a great deal about President Donald Trump from the "art" he hangs on his walls or posts on social media. Mostly, what it says is "I have absolutely no taste, and if you put my face on it, it's awesome." His recent repost, later deleted, was, as I'm sure you've seen by now, an AI-generated image featuring Trump as Jesus Christ, ostensibly there to heal someone who looks like Jeffrey Epstein but probably is not Jeffrey Epstein because you wouldn't heal someone you had killed. Then you have to kill them all over again and who knows if you can get the timing of the cameras being off just right a second time.

Yes, this upset many "Christians," who apparently had no issue with an adulterer and rapist who shits on the poor until he defiled the image of Christ, which is totally how Jesus would have reacted. But this image deserves a bit more discussion before it gets flushed down the memory hole, and, unfortunately, that means I need to post it.

As with most things Trump, this is really about his dick. Or, more precisely, this is about his semen, or, in this case, his Jesus jizz. Trump is obviously ejaculating - that's the burst of light coming from his groin area - and he's cumming on the head of the elderly man because nothing gives him more pleasure than watching people die. In fact, Trump's rubbing the jizz into the man's head not because he think it will comfort the man, but because Trump thinks it's hilarious to get some spunk on the dude. Notice the little smile. Trump's left hand holds some extra semen, likely because he accidentally brushed his hand against his cock during orgasm and he's wondering where to wipe it. Probably the soldier because Trump thinks that will show how much he supports the troops.

The two females on the sides stare at his prick, the one on the left looking concerned, as if she recognizes that it's probably not good for the urethra to spew glowing jizz. The one on the right, in the nurse's uniform, looks unfazed. As a medical professional, she has seen all kinds of jizz. However, the age of the two females is concerning. Both definitely look like teenagers. The nurse seems 13 and the praying girl seems 16, both well within Trump's age range for sexually abusing children. 

In fact, one way to see this image is as a representation of Trump's sex crimes, with the men looking on in quiet awe and appreciation because they themselves wish to fuck underage girls. The white-bearded man with a hat that says, "Petunia" is ready to drink more Trump cum because he's downed so much of it already the last ten years. Now, the heavenly figures could be seen as Democrats pursuing him, but you'd think even AI would know that demons come from hell. No, I think the floating men in outfits ranging from dimestore devil to early 20th-century diver actually represent right-wing media giving approval for Trump jizzing on an old man and making girls on their knees watch his dick. 

As for the fireworks and eagles and jets, those were sent out by Stephen Miller in order to announce a Trump orgasm. If Trump had his way, it would be a national holiday every time he achieved one, but since he can't just declare that (yet), he has free rein to make the military scramble some fighters. Those aren't chemtrails. They're cumtrails.

So, frankly, I was shocked when Trump gave in to demands by Mike Johnson and others to take down the image. What more perfect way is there to represent how he sees himself and how most of the MAGA cretins see him, even if some are mildly protesting. Most, by the way, are saying you can't take a joke if you find this offensive. They worship him. He may as well cut out the other savior.

Now, if they follow through on the rest of the Jesus stuff, that'll be worth orgasming over.

It Should Be a Bigger Story That the President of the United States Is Fucking Insane

I have the feeling we'll remember where we were when we saw or heard about rapist and President Donald Trump's Easter morning dropping in his Truth Toilet. I saw it embedded as an image on BlueSky and my first thought was "No way that's real." So I went over to Truth Toilet, where I maintain a secret stall to spy on the bastards, and, as we know now, I saw that, yup, that shit was real. Here's what it said, in case you didn't see it in all its glory (and I won't link to it because fuck Truth Toilet): "Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!! Open the Fuckin’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell - JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah. President DONALD J. TRUMP"

Now, yes, this is a threat of war crimes to force Iran to allow cargo ships and oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz without being attacked, something that wasn't an issue until the United States started bombing Iran. But look at the psychopathic rage there from Trump (or whoever was writing this for him, but it's posted in his name, so, fuck it, yeah, Trump). You can see him wailing and gnashing about his stupid, worthless war not going the way he was told it would go by those hanging onto the hairs on his nutsack, like savage racist moron Pete Hegseth and evil, greedy worm Jared Kushner. And then to end it with "Praise be to Allah"? Putting aside that it's fucking Easter, one of the holiest days in his supposed Christian faith, it just seems like an extra dickish thing to add after saying he's going to mass murder Muslims and then force those not killed to live in misery. 

Look, we know that Trump is an extravagant, inveterate, unapologetic liar. We also know that he's a giant piece of shit, a miserable fuck who treats everyone as terrible as he feels. But liars and pieces of shit at least have one foot in reality. The real key to understanding how and why we are where we are as a nation (and as a world) is to acknowledge that Trump is fucking insane and to demand more reporting on that fact. Instead, we get some combination of glossing over his madness, dismissing it as just his personality, and rolling one's eyes as if he's a child. None of these reactions has ever worked, and his madness has gotten worse. 

Let's not go through all the ways and times that Trump has acted or expressed something insane. That would be like going through a porn star's oeuvre to see all the places he has jizzed on another human being. Just accept that it's everywhere and move on to the next point.  Instead, let's focus in on that last line there, the "Praise be to Allah," and not for the weird slide into Islam's DMs. 

As his war failure (and let's be clear: the war is a failure and was always going to be a failure) causes him to spiral, as events that he has no control over once again take over his administration (like Covid in his first cursed term), he has gotten more and more freaky about spouting religious shit, desperately humping Jesus for clout with the evangelicals and support from the crazed Christian nationalists who have turned this shambles into a Holy War. On Saturday, for instance, he ended one Truth Toilet dropping about blowing up Iran with "Glory be to GOD!" which is just embarrassing and weird on top of being worrying. 

Meanwhile, at a Holy Week event, he gave a speech that wasn't supposed to be posted and kept making comparisons between himself and Jesus and random religious shit. "On Palm Sunday, Jesus entered Jerusalem as crowds welcomed him with praise, honoring him as king. They call me king now, do you believe it? No, king. I'm such a king I can't get a ballroom approved," he said, interrupting the build up to the crucifixion. He continued, "And Thursday, the disciples gathered with Jesus as their teacher and stood in fear as he was arrested and betrayed. He was really betrayed. We know the feeling. Many of the people in this room know that feeling. Many of the people in this room went through hell." In case you're keeping track, Trump's saying that the legal difficulties of the pedophiles and thieves gathered for lunch are analogous to Christ's torture.

Then he started to riff, saying, "I've often said that to be a great nation, you have to have religion. I believe that's so strongly. You have to have religion and you have to have God. That's why this Easter we are bringing back religion to America. We have when I started, you know, if you think about it so we went through four years of purgatory." After a few minutes of this, after comparing the supposed growth of Christianity to the growth in Nvidia stocks, after blathering about how he brought back Christmas when no one was talking about Christmas anymore, he shifted to trans women in sports and imitated a trans woman boxing and mocked other trans women and, no, really, this fucking happened. 

Donald Trump is a fundamentally broken man. He was never stable or sane, and his need for wealth and desire to wield his power have taken on a mania. Like so many broken men in leadership before, he believes he is the thing that he's leading. He sees himself as the United States, that what's good for him is what's good for Americans, and that if you claim otherwise, you are his enemy and the country's enemy and the country needs to destroy you. But on top of that, he might really believe (and he is told this repeatedly by the deranged and/or grifting religious leaders who surround him and lay hands on him) that he is God's instrument on earth and that everything he does is sanctified through his connection to an invisible sky wizard who looked out for him to prevent him from being assassinated. No, I don't think Trump's a religious zealot. But he has said he's worried about his soul after death, and that's driven him even crazier as he seems to actually be thinking about whether or not he's going to Hell (and, to be sure, for those of us who are atheists, this is all psycho shit). Or who knows what he's really thinking? That's what it means to have such severe mental decay, to be delusional on top of being narcissistic. 

This is unsustainable. Democrats need to be asking every day why Republicans won't remove him from office. Fuck it - come at it from a compassionate direction: Why won't they make an obviously sick and crazed man get help? Don't Republicans care about him? The president of the United States, who is threatening an apocalypse against a country that didn't attack us or even legitimately threaten us, is fucking insane. The world demands that that be the biggest goddamn story anywhere. The nation needs leaders to make it end before he sits in his ballroom bunker and blows the whole goddamn earth up. He never should have been president. That he is is a crime against humanity. That he could be removed and isn't is an epic tragedy.

It Should Be a Bigger Story That the President of the United States Is a Lying Motherfucker

Noted rapist and warmonger Donald Trump lies to everyone. For his entire life, he has lied. To list his lies would be to write his biography because it is merely a series of lies, from his personal relationships to his business deals to his contracts with others to his image on his stupid TV show to his campaigns for president to his press conferences to his dealings with other countries. Every single thing is a fucking lie. He lies so much he can't keep track of what he lied about and when someone says he said one thing but now says another, he waves it off and tells a third lie and just plows ahead, ready to lie again. That's how he discusses the war in Iran, declaring victory, declaring that the rest of the world needs to open up the Strait of Hormuz, sending more troops, declaring victory again, saying that Iran is 100% contained militarily, and threatening an invasion before declaring victory one more time. 

You can't trust a word out of his lying motherfucker mouth, so attempting to parse meaning from his statements or his droppings on Truth Toilet or, anything, really, is a fool's game, like trying to get a sociopathic child to tell you how the cat ended up in the washing machine. You know goddamn well what happened, but that little shit is never gonna admit it. That's because there is no meaning beyond whatever makes Trump look the best, the strongest, and the most right in any given moment. Or makes him money, one of those constants in his cursed life. It's some insidious shit, and it's a huge story that the media covers generally only as fact checks and not as "Holy fuck, how do we operate as a country when you can't trust the president to be honest about literally anything?" 

But, as I said last week about his lies about the 2020 election, if Trump and his lackeys keep repeating the same shit over and over, eventually no one challenges it and it starts to seem like established truth when it's not. Some of them have overwhelmed our discourse, and it almost seems as if the reality of recent history, or, you know, the factual record, is being subsumed in the Trumpian bullshit tsunami and then he and the craven scumfucks in the GOP make policy based on those lies. 

For instance, it's an article of MAGA faith that President Joe Biden left behind a decimated ruin of a country that Trump had to fix like a Servpro guy taking care of a flooded basement. Trump loves shitting on Biden as much as possible. If he's in front of a mic, at some point, he's gonna drop his pants and take a shit on Joe Biden's photo. On Friday, in remarks to...fuck, who really cares?...he said, "Biden and his allies wrecked our country. They wreaked havoc on our economy" and then called him "Sleepy Joe" and "stupid." On the same say, talking a farmers' group, he said, "For four disastrous years before I took office, Sleepy Joe Biden and the Democrats in Congress crushed America's farmers with the worst inflation in the history of our country." And, again, same day, Trump said to reporters, unprompted, "the Biden open border" allowed criminals in. The day before, at one of his weekly testicle tongue baths from his cabinet, Trump said that Iran "had free rein under Biden, Sleepy Joe, worst president in the history of our country, what he allowed it to happen to our country at the borders and even with a thing like this." 

There's hardly an occasion, a moment when he's talking to an audience or reporter, when he won't shit on Biden. When he dragged his stupid ass tp Graceland, he was signing a guitar when, apropos of nothing, Trump said, "Now Biden couldn't do this. He'd have to send it out to be signed." It's just fucking weird.

But the thing is, as anyone who was even a little cognizant of what was actually happening way, way back in 2024, Biden didn't wreck the country. There are many things to criticize Biden on, but when he left office, by every objective measure, the economy and much else domestically was in pretty goddamn great shape. I hate to repeat myself, but, come the fuck on, The Economist declared the American economy under Biden "the envy of the world" in that we recovered better, faster, and more strongly than anyone else post-pandemic. The inflation rate, which had gone up to 9% in 2022 due to high demand for goods after Covid (which is basic finance stuff), along with supply chain issues and other shit, was pretty much the same as it is now by mid-2024. The Inflation Reduction Act had worked its magic; job creation was still going well, even if it had slowed after the incredible highs in 2022; the unemployment rate was lower than it is now, and the CHIPS Act was creating more tech opportunities in the US. Farmers got a bailout and tons of support. There's so much more, like the subsidies to help people pay for Affordable Care Act policies. I mean, this isn't some fucking fantasy. It's what was really going on. Oh, and Biden didn't have an "open borders" policy. But the pent up demand to get into the US after the pandemic sure as shit sent the numbers up on people coming into the country, something else that was under control by the time Kamala Harris lost the election (and, frankly, I'd argue that large-scale immigration is a good thing for a country that needs workers and that Democrats should stop playing along with the Republican bullshit on immigrants). 

But Trump took the high price of eggs and exaggerated that to mean the entire nation was collapsing into a dystopian hellscape while Joe Biden slept through it. Then Trump got elected and shitcanned a good many things that were working (like much of the IRA), started a trade war with China that fucked farmers, and claimed he made it all better when it is objectively worse. So when Trump says all these things about Biden and the way the country was before he was forced on us all again as president, he's fucking lying. You can call it "gaslighting," if you're so inclined, in that he's trying to convince us that something is real that isn't but it's a fucking lie. 

If the media is not willing to call that out at every opportunity to his face, asking him about the lies, then he gets to lie with impunity about the shit going on now, like Iran and his economy and immigrants and everything else. And, again, if the president is a fucking liar all the time, then that pulls the rug out from us and from the rest of the world. It shows how broken we are as a country.

It Should Be a Bigger Story That the President of the United States Is a Giant Piece of Shit

President Donald Trump, a rapist who increasingly looks like a particularly pustulent hemorrhoid, loves to say that he won the 2024 election in a "landslide." He says it a lot. No, wait, that undersells it. He says it all the fucking time, like every time it bubbles up in the moldy pudding where his brain once was. On March 16, at a luncheon for the Kennedy Center board, Trump said, "We won in a landslide." On March 17, while meeting with Ireland's Taoiseach Micheal Martin in the enshittified fake gold Oval Office, Trump said that he's "a popular President of the United States that won in a landslide that won all seven swing states that got record numbers of votes." On March 20, while presenting the Commander-in-Chief's Trophy to the US Naval Academy for being good at football, he pondered, like a Temu Arthur Miller character, "When a man can get elected in a landslide, winning every -- think of it, seven swing states, win them all..." Honestly, Trump says it on an almost daily basis, like he says many things. 

This kind of constant repetition is the con man's ploy: if you keep saying it, if you have other people saying it (and Trump's cabinet members and advisors and media lackeys do it all the time), then it will seem like the truth, even if it's a lie, especially if no one challenges that lie. We've reached that point with the landslide assertion. Trump did not, in actual fact, win in a landslide. Far from it. No one bothers pushing back against it anymore because, well, fuck, what about the lies about the Iran war or trans people or voting or the 2020 election or...you get it. It's also an idiotic lie because he won, but that's not enough. It's gotta be the biggest win or the biggest crowd or the biggest tax cut. 

Like other lies in the manic tsunami of lies that he's constantly crashing over the American public, it's one that should be questioned every time he brings it up: "Why do you keep saying you won in a 'landslide' when, in fact, you narrowly defeated Vice President Harris?" Not that he'd answer it. Because, see, the lies are all he has, and that's part of makes him a giant piece of shit.

And, frankly, that should be a bigger story, indeed, perhaps, the only story: We are living in a time period where the president of the United States is a giant piece of shit, and that has an effect on everything around us. If the president can get away with being a piece of shit, if no one calls him on it, if the media acts like being a giant piece of shit is normal, then, well, fuck it. Let's all be pieces of shit, too. 

This weekend, when former FBI Director and Special Counsel Robert Mueller died, over at Truth Toilet, Trump diarrheaed, "Good, I’m glad he’s dead. He can no longer hurt innocent people!" Sure, you can say, as many of the pieces of shit around Trump have said, that Mueller treated Trump "badly," and thus we should have "empathy" for Trump. It shouldn't surprise us that Trump couldn't shut the fuck up and gloated over Mueller's corpse, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't anger us. Frankly, Trump should be thanking Mueller for every goddamn day of freedom that he has because of how Mueller wrote his report on Trump colluding with Russia in 2016 and because of how Mueller kept quiet publicly when then-Attorney General Bill Barr completely dicked Mueller over by mischaracterizing its findings and keeping it secret. 

Today, Sunday, Trump posted on the Texas Senate race, where he has refused to endorse a Republican, thus helping to force a prolonged primary battle between two fucking awful human beings, John Cornyn and Ken Paxton. Really, it's like choosing herpes or chlamydia. The herpes isn't ever really going away, and you can cure the chlamydia, but it's way worse for you.

Trump said (and I'm gonna quote in full because I don't fuckin' want to link to his garbage site), "The Democrat running in Texas, James Talarico, turns out to be a FRAUD! It showed after the Election when he beat Low IQ Candidate Jasmine Crockett (No relation to Davy Crockett!). He’s got six Genders, insults to Jesus, only vegan food, was wearing a mask in 2023 and 2024, and is a weak, ineffective guy who we 'allowed' to win prior to releasing the avalanche of information we had on him because, as bad as Crockett was as a Candidate, this guy is worse! I believe that any human being running against him, sick, incompetent, close to death or, even a child, would win. He may be the Worst Candidate I have ever seen, other than, of course, Gavin Newscum who admitted that he suffers from mental incapacity, is unable to read a speech, and is dumb but, in saying 'the dumb comment,' referred to his audience, and therefore became, in the eyes of African Americans, A TOTAL RACIST — which is probably true! Gavin admits that he’s a Low IQ individual, which typically is not good for winning the Presidency. His interview may have been the worst ever given by a 'professional' politician. I believe, it takes him OUT OF THE RACE. Kamala is back!"

There is so much shittiness in there that it's like wading through the pig field at a factory farm. Putting aside the effort to emasculate Talarico using barely coded language to queer him up (and, for the record, he's not a vegan, not that there's anything wrong with that, but you can guarantee that it's all you'll hear about for weeks), as well as the gratuitously racist and sexist slams against Jasmine Crockett, look at this idea that Trump "allowed" Talarico to win. He's implying that the GOP manipulated the release of information on Talarico because they thought Crockett would be harder to beat. The fucking ego of that shit belies the fact that poll after poll shows Talarico winning against either Republican STD. 

But the peak of being a piece of shit is Trump's ongoing degradation of California Governor Gavin Newsom for speaking openly about his struggles with dyslexia. For Trump, this is "mental incapacity," openly insulting millions of people who are dealing with it. It's repulsive for anyone to be saying that shit, but this is the goddamned president of the United States. His dismissal of a learning disability that can be dealt with opens the door for others to attack dyslexics. And the repetition of "Low IQ" as an insult kind of shows the insulter is a fucking dumbass who can't come up with a new negative comment.

As Trump layers lies upon bullshit like a fraud parfait, the corporate media is missing out on how this is degrading the entire country. We can't become numb and bored with his abject shittiness. That's what lets him get away with every fucking crime. Every single piece on him should open with "President Donald Trump, a rapist" and then it should be about how he's a giant piece of shit who can't be trusted on anything. And how having a president like this is gutting this country.

The Only Way to Talk About the Iran War Is to Say the US Needs to Stop

Over in the Philadelphia Inquirer, the always smart Will Bunch has a column out this week that warns that our current Iran clusterfuck is already reminiscent of our Vietnam clusterfuck and is already a lost cause: "We should still take one lesson from Vietnam. We should face the honest, painful truth. It took America 20 tortured years, an unspeakable death toll, and finally the image of desperate people climbing toward helicopters on an embassy roof to acknowledge the bitter reality that our nation had lost a war. Today, it’s clear after less than two weeks there won’t even be a premature 'Mission Accomplished' banner for Trump’s and Benjamin Netanyahu’s irrational gambit in Iran. Victory is unattainable, and arguably we have lost a war." It's a harsh acknowledgement, something anyone without their head stuck up the asses of Fox "news" bullshitters and craven right-wing podcasters already sensed from the frantic spinning of this colossal fuckup by Trump and his administration spokesworms. 

We know that one thing that turned the tide in this country against the Vietnam War was mainstream media finally stating the clear fact that this was a losing cause and American soldiers were dying for no reason. Yes, it took 7 years from when Walter Cronkite made his post-Tet Offensive commentary in 1968 for the war to finally end with the chaos of the fall of Saigon in 1975, but it set the tone for media coverage from then on. And while we no longer have a unifying news figure like Cronkite in our exploded information ecosystem, it would fucking well help if legacy (or corporate or mainstream or whatever goddamn adjective you wanna use) media didn't act in any way like this is some normal shit going on right now. 

Look at the New York Times, for instance. Yes, they have opinion pieces condemning (and supporting) the war and reporting on how Trump just bumblefucked into Iran with no idea what the fuck he was doing. But then there will be articles that simply treat this like it's a justified war and not the ego trip of a madman who doesn't give a shit about soldiers dying. Like this one: "How a Marine Unit in the Middle East Could Open New Phase of Iran War." It's mostly Pentagon propaganda about how the Marines would be used, quoting one defense expert explaining that "the Pentagon will be able to quickly launch raids onto the islands with infantry Marines who will have logistics and air support," and fuck that. Another way to frame the article is to say that Trump is putting Americans into a deadly situation for no reason. For nothing. That the entire "excursion" is a futile use of funding and lives and it's wrong to even contemplate escalating and not withdrawing. 

Even seemingly critical reporting is in the context that this war is somehow justified. Over on NBC News, an article titled "Trump wants other countries to help reopen the Strait of Hormuz. That might not be so easy" lays out how other countries are feeling about joining the war effort. Only once does the piece mention the easiest fucking way to reopen the strait: the United States can end the fucking war. And that's from a quote from the Energy Secretary of the UK: "the best and most conclusive way to get the Strait reopened is to get this conflict to come to an end," which leaves open who is responsible and who could stop it now. It's like you're burning down a forest with a flamethrower while trying to put out the blaze, and a reporter talks about how it's doubtful anyone is going to help you without saying, "Oh, hey, shut off the goddamn flamethrower. That's an option, too."

Democrats are falling into the trap, too, of being opposed to Trump but not firmly saying to fucking leave and try to put out all leftover fires and flareups before the whole forest is burnt down. Instead of having a unified call to cease operations for, again, another war based on lies that most everyone knows are lies, Democratic members of Congress are criticizing Trump and masturbating shitheel Pete Hegseth for not having "a plan." If you ask for a plan, that means you think a plan is possible. If you think a plan is possible, that infers that the war is, in some way, justified when it fucking well isn't. Or they call for an investigation and that "we need answers." No. What we fucking need, what well over half of the American public wants is no war. I mean, they took a vote on trying to stop it without congressional authorization. It failed, but they're on record against the war, so act like it.

Some Democrats, like AOC and Sen. Chris Murphy, are being crystal clear on the need to bring the troops home and stop attacking Iran. One high point of stupidity here was when Murphy was talking to CNN's Jake "Resting sneer face" Tapper. Last Sunday, Tapper asked Murphy about voting against an expected $50 billion in funding for the war. Murphy said he wouldn't support it, and Tapper said that might be seen as "voting against the troops." To his credit, Murphy didn't bite on the old canard that not supporting the killing of troops for maniacal reasons is the same as not supporting the troops. He said, "If you support the troops, then you should vote against this war so that we get our troops out of harm’s way. Virtually nothing good happened from sending thousands of Americans to die in Iraq in the 2000s and if we don’t learn that lesson then shame on every single one of us." 

See, we don't have to go all the way back to Vietnam for the lesson, although it was a much, much bloodier one for the US. We were just fucking here, in a quagmire, pretending like we knew what we were doing, with leaders who thought it would be a cakewalk and learning too late that those who counseled caution were right. We were just fucking here 15 years ago. I know memories are short and attention spans are fading, but, fucking hell, our media and our Democratic leaders need to be clear that this is an insultingly worthless waste of lives (American and Iranian and Lebanese and...), of money, and it's going to fuck things up for another generation.

But, hell, it'll give Democrats something else to run on. And with FCC dickscab Brendan Carr threatening the licenses of broadcasters who speak ill of the war, maybe it's time to tell this administration to go fuck itself with its threats. Hell, it's not like they've gamed out the consequences of any of their actions. And opposing a war is more patriotic than being a simp for it.

(I just wanna add one thing: I'm pushing 60 years on this goddamned planet. There has not been a single fucking war or military intervention in my lifetime that wasn't based on lies or exaggerated bullshit. Vietnam, Grenada, Panama, Iraq, Afghanistan, Iraq again, and now Iran, none of them were worth a single life. None of them were about protecting the United States or defending an ally who was attacked. It's pathetic that we keep doing this. It's pathetic that people still support leaders who do this.)

Living in and Paying for Trump's Fake World

This week, we got word that the Justice Department is finding it impossible to move forward on the autopen case against former President Joe Biden. See, current President Donald Trump thinks Biden didn't use the autopen correctly. Specifically, Trump believes that Biden was so out of it that the autopen was used to sign pardons that he was unaware of. Trump wants those pardons rescinded and people punished for this "crime." 

It should go without saying that Biden wasn't actually completely brain dead and still isn't; Biden's alleged mental incapacity is just a basic belief of the MAGA mob at this point, something that apparently every cabinet member is required to say at every appearance. Also, all those pardons, like for Gen. Mark Milley, Anthony Fauci, and Biden's son, Hunter, are of people that Trump wants to hurt because he thinks they made him look bad or just because, and the pardon is in the way. 

The reason the DOJ is having such a problem is that prosecutors can't find a crime to charge Biden or his aides with. And, when it comes to President Biden, the Supreme Court's utter disgrace of a decision granting presidents immunity from prosecution for things done in office doesn't just apply to Trump, even if it always seems that way with this court. But, of course, there was never anything there, just like there was never anything there with the case against six Democratic members of Congress who made the video that told soldiers not to follow illegal orders, just like there's no case against Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell or James Comey or Letitia James. None of these are legitimate. They are merely vehicles for Trump to get vengeance on or harm people who don't go along with everything he wants or who want to hold him to account for breaking the law.

Think for a moment about the amount of time and money wasted on these investigations: the work hours, the use of materials, and, in some cases, the time of the grand juries. It's not simply that MAGA cretins support Trump in contorting the DOJ into his own private legal army to go after heretics and unbelievers. It's that they believe that all of those people have committed crimes worthy of prosecution by the federal government because Trump has told them they have. 

That's how we live now. So much of what the government does is because it's responding to Trump's warped delusions or to affirm the lies that he needs people to believe. Take the 2020 election, for instance.  Essentially the first tenet of the MAGA faith is that Trump won the 2020 election and it was stolen from him due to some combination of foreign interference, Democratic cheating, outright fraud, and possibly the devil. There is no evidence for this and it has been adjudicated literally dozens of times. But the federal government is currently spending millions of dollars "investigating" the election, including the FBI seizing the records of Fulton County, Georgia, to look for this alleged fraud. That's for a state where the election was run by Republicans, just not Republicans willing to throw their workers under the Trumpian bus. It's a lie, it's an illusion, and it's now the agenda of several agencies to "prove" this fantasy. 

Every major thing being done by this administration is happening because Trump wants to force us to exist in his fake world, the one where he's always right, anyone who opposes him is an enemy seeking his destruction, and everyone needs to be grateful that he's taking care of the joint. When I talk about the sheer amount of money being wasted on this effort, I'm not including the corruption that has enriched Trump and his family and other close to him. I'm talking about all the funds being wasted in our name.

The heartbreaking death and destruction of our "war" on Iran is part of this. It's all based on lies and delusions, delusions that go back to 1979, when Trump, like many wannabe hawks, reacted to the Islamic Revolution and the kidnapping of Americans by demanding that the US bomb Tehran into oblivion. Everything around the evolving reasoning for the war is an extension of this fake reality. Iran wasn't remotely close to building a nuclear weapon. Iran wasn't on the verge of bombing Israel. Everything is nonsense, but we're at war because Trump believes in it all. Or makes a good enough show at believing it.

Like I said, this is how we live now. We exist at this nexus between actual reality and a false MAGA reality. The problem is that the latter is where we're forced to fight. So it might be in actual reality that virtually all immigrants, documented or not, are hard-working members of communities who make the nation a better place and deserve the chance to become citizens. But in MAGA reality, most are violent criminals who want to cut white teenage girls to pieces. In order to get to act on what's really at stake, the fake stuff needs to be defeated. So we can't even get to immigration reform until we get over the mass deportations and ICE insanity. False reality is wrecking actual reality.

If you want a measure of how far we've slipped, there's this: On Saturday, at 4 in the morning, a plaque was installed near an entrance to the Capitol in DC. That plaque honors the members of law enforcement who defended the building during the insurrection of January 6, 2021. A law was passed by Congress in March 2022 mandating the installation of the plaque by March 2023 (Republicans took back the House in November 2022). Instead, the thing sat in the basement as Trump and the GOP contorted the reality of January 6, turning a violent riot by marauding idiots determined to keep their racist/rapist president in power into, as Trump puts it, "a day of love." The police who were there, getting beaten and maced, with over 140 injured and 4 committing suicide because of injuries and effects of that day, became seen not as the heroes they were, but as traitors to the MAGA reality, condemned, threatened, and demeaned. 

It points to something else that is chilling about all this policy based on unreality; it's as chilling as an HHS policy that will kill children, it's as chilling as the end of USAID causing deaths by the hundreds of thousands, it's as chilling as the war with Iran where the goal seems to be mass murder and suffering, and it's as chilling as the cruel and callous version of reality that the MAGA movement wants to impose on us. It's that Trump and the MAGA cretins don't care who gets hurt in order to make the world to fit their warped vision, and that includes children at a school in Iran and it includes us. In fact, Trump, the odious Pete Hegseth, their manosphere lackeys, all seem to thrill at the deaths that have happened and the potential for many more. 

This is beyond the fact that Republicans make policies based on lies. This is about forcing a certain kind of thinking, a faith as delusional as the followers of the Supreme Leader in Iran have. The question is how the fantasists will react when actual reality comes crashing in, as it will. Wars never go how you think. Court cases can keep maintaining some adherence to facts. But as long as Trump keeps forcing the entire operation of the government to act and react according to whatever beliefs he pulls out of his aggrieved, diseased brain or the phantoms that plague him, like his 2020 loss, we will not be free of the fake reality. And we'll have to keep paying for its continued existence.

(Note: I'm not saying that "both sides lies" because I can't think of a single lie or delusion that Democrats have believed while in power that so contorted the operation of the government.)

Random Observations on a Rapist Shitbag Farting Loudly

If rapist, convicted felon, and President Donald Trump had waddled up to the front of the House chamber last night and told the gathered Republican senators and representatives that they needed to masturbate furiously during his speech, every single one of those men and women would have unzipped or plunged their hands into their pants and gone at themselves. He could have said, "You better be thinking about me and I better see you cum," and they would have thrust into themselves, jacking it and rubbing it as they chanted, "USA!" over and over, as if they were humping an American flag like Trump did so many times. It wouldn't matter what Trump said, what open lies he told, what taunts and threats he made, what fascistic fantasies he spun out, what racism he expressed again and again, how out of it and bored by the effort he was, how he couldn't stop himself from not shutting the fuck up already, it just didn't matter to the GOP. Trump told them that the only way to show how much they loved him was by jizzing and squirting and moaning. As they started to orgasm, as ejaculations dribbled limply or shot into the backs of heads, as the women screamed in real and fake pleasure to show their loyalty, Trump might smirk, loving how much he controlled them, how he can still make them rub one out for him. The only things keeping Trump alive at this point are the chance to harm more powerless people and the delusional sycophancy of everyone around him.

At the end of the night, insatiable coprophage Stephen Miller and diligent dumbass investigators on Twitter would have noted which few Republicans didn't end up cumming, and they would be attacked on social media as RINOs, as having insufficient loyalty, as pathetic tools of Democrats. And speaking of, it wouldn't have mattered how disgusted Democrats were at the self-fucking Republicans. Anything they had to say would be sneered at on Fox "news" and other right-wing Trump-fellating networks, with Lindsey Graham declaring that he never came as hard in his entire life or Karoline Leavitt saying that every American she heard from said that they were proud their member of Congress spanked it for their president, who works harder than any has ever worked and should be honored this way. It was a waste of time for any Democrats to be present. Don't go to the circle jerk if you're not jerking.

What would have been different, other than the poor maintenance crew needing to clean up? Not a goddamn thing. 

Anyways, here's a couple of lines from the "speech" (if by "speech," you mean, "A poorly-constructed, tedious forced march through a phantasmagoric hellscape inside a decaying brain") that struck me as particularly fucked up.

1. For most of the thing, Trump didn't veer off into his usual crazed claims about the 2020 election being stolen. But one line referenced it and did it in an ominous way. He said, "So in my first year of the second term... Should be in my third term, but strange things happen..." That weirdness doesn't just imply that he still thinks he won in 2020. It's also him seeming to say that having a third term is possible. which, you know, fuck that.

2. Trump used the cherry-picked story of Sage Blair, a Virginia teen who was diagnosed with gender dysphoria, to attack trans kids in general. He explained that she was 14 "when school officials in Virginia sought to socially transition her to a new gender, treating her as a boy and hiding it from her parents." This is a minor point in a much bigger discussion, but Trump makes it sound like this took place in some crazy liberal area. It was in Appomattox County, which went for Trump by 50 points over Harris in 2024. In other words, Republicans were making these decisions. 

3. The motherfucker loves his blood and murder tales. He graphically described the killings of two young women by undocumented migrants, one of the most blatant ways to stir up racial anger and violence, going into details that were entirely over-the-top. There was Lizbeth Medina, whose mother "found her lying dead in a bathtub, bleeding profusely after being stabbed 25 times." There was Irina Zarutska, whose killer "viciously slashed a knife through her neck and body." Trump went even further, with Irina's mother sitting there, describing, "No one will ever forget the expression of terror on Irina's face as she looked up at her attacker in the last seconds of her life." I mean, what the fucking fuck purpose does that serve? "Hey, Ms. Zarutska, I want you to think about the pain and panic and helplessness your daughter felt as she died." Sick flaccid cock of a president.

If I'm being honest, I just don't give a shit about this speech, and neither should you. The one thing that's actually in my head right now is the blatant coverup of Trump's sex crimes by the Department of Justice. Files related to a 2019 FBI interview with a victim who accused Trump of truly heinous shit are missing from the Jeffrey Epstein material. It's a felony to lie to the FBI, but the memos assessing the woman's account after repeated interviews are missing, too. I have a feeling that if they "totally and completely exonerated" Trump, we'd see them. 

So, you know, fuck his speech. Appoint a special counsel to investigate him. We know he's a rapist. Now tell us if he's a child rapist. Because that's who the GOP is jacking it to.

Conservatives Are Cowards About American History

Over in Munich a week ago, Secretary of State and man who looks like what an old sweat sock smells like, Marco Rubio, gave a speech where he related a fantasy version of the history of immigrants in the United States. He lied about Columbus, he lied about the first European settlements, he lied about how German immigrants were treated, he lied and lied and lied some more. He turned a complex, often dark tale that hinges on slavery and genocide into a happy little story of white people doing everything right and good and noble. Seriously, he didn't even mention the role that Black people played in the actual building of the nation. He didn't say the word "immigrant." It was like listening to some guy tell you that he's fucked all these women, but he leaves out that he's a rapist. (For more on Rubio's speech, head over to my Patreon.)

This isn't just a different perspective on American history. It's not looking at it and emphasizing the good over the bad or some such shit. It's not even revisionism because then you'd expect some remnants of the previous draft of history there. No, this is erasure. It's a bleaching of the complicated, racially-diverse journey this country has been on. It's like the Epstein files, with entire blocks just retracted, like we're not allowed to know or discuss what's really there. The Trump administration, along with the right-wing fucknut ecosystem, is in the midst of a spree of neutering, eliminating, or otherwise transforming the way in which history is presented and discussed, and, goddamnit, they're gonna force all of us to learn it like the good little Nazis they want the remaining population to be.

They're defacing memorials and museums, making them jingoistic and masturbatory. A federal judge this week called out Trump's fuckery in removing information panels that were displayed at the President's House in Philadelphia. The exhibit talked about the lives of the enslaved people owned by George Washington when he lived there. The bastards had taken the panels down in January and the city sued, saying, among other things, the contract the federal government had with the city said that the house couldn't be changed without the city's permission. U.S. District Court Judge Cynthia Rufe (it shouldn't need to be said, but she's a Republican appointed by W. Bush) compared Trump's actions to the Ministry of Truth in George Orwell's 1984. Excoriating the defense attorneys for saying, in essence, that the government can control any message it wants, Rufe writes, "The government...asserts truth is no longer self-evident, but rather the property of the elected chief magistrate and his appointees and delegees, at his whim to be scraped clean, hidden, or overwritten. And why? Solely because, as Defendants state, it has the power...An agency, whether the Department of the Interior, NPS, or any other agency, cannot arbitrarily decide what is true, based on its own whims or the whims of the new leadership, regardless of the evidence before it."

And, in one beautiful moment before ordering that the panels be restored, Rufe gets in a dig at Trump. She says of Washington that his "presence presiding over the Constitutional Convention graced it with the gravitas and spirit necessary to the creation of our government’s foundational document, and his restraint and modesty radiated strength and wisdom that defines the ideal chief executive to this day." Donald Trump radiates rage heat and shit odor and defines everything that's wrong with the country and the world. Of course, the government is appealing.

This erasure is happening elsewhere, with removals of information about the way indigenous tribes were pushed off land at the Grand Canyon and the Pride flag at the Stonewall memorial. Hell, they're even going after an exhibit on Brown v. Board of Education because it mentions "equity." Imagine.

The bullshit extends to other areas of the government. Brendan Carr, FCC Chair and man most likely to secretly spank it to Bad Bunny at the Super Bowl while whipping himself, has put out a document "encouraging" broadcasters to get more "patriotic" for the 250th birthday of the United States. He wants stations to start the day with the National Anthem or the Pledge of Allegiance. He says they should be "Airing music by America’s greatest composers, such as John Philip Sousa, Aaron Copland, Duke Ellington, or George Gershwin," which makes me think he knows nothing about 3 out of 4 of those composers. Aaron Copland was blacklisted by the State Department after lobbying from Joseph McCarthy. His passport was revoked in 1953, and his music was banned from libraries owned by the government. Even years later, in the late 1960s, conservatives would protest his appearances. As for Ellington and Gershwin, you might want to look at some of their works, especially Ellington's symphonies about the Black experience and Gershwin's satirical musicals mocking the US government and capitalism. All three of them were woke as fuck. 

Here's the thing: Conservatives are being whiny little bitches about history. You think that taking out all the horror stories makes it better? No, it makes it weak as the shits you take every time some non-white person talks to you like an equal. You're a fucking coward if you don't tell the whole story, shitty parts and all. You think it makes you more powerful to just say the good stuff. But it makes you pathetic because some of the good stuff is how we confronted and dealt with the bad shit.

Telling the truth about the country is patriotism. In her decision, Judge Rufe talks about one of Washington's enslaved people, Oney Judge, who escaped from bondage using the Underground Railroad. Rufe writes, "The President’s House displays recognized Oney Judge and focused on how her struggle for freedom represented this country’s progress away from the horrors of slavery and into an era where the founding ideals of 'Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness' could be embodied for every American." In order to celebrate ending slavery, you have to be honest about what slavery was and who was involved.

See, Trump and his MAGA cretins don't get that what makes America great isn't how white people did a bunch of shit. It's how all of us did a bunch of shit, good and evil, and somehow, at least prior to this vile administration, we were able to progress towards a more perfect union. What's patriotic is not to say you've gotta get down on your knees and blow Uncle Sam all the time. No, it's admitting that we've fucked up and we're trying to do better and we're gonna fail sometimes but at least we try. Or we did.

Of course, that's the opposite of everything these absolute pieces of garbage in the aptly-named White House believe. They can never admit error or complicity or guilt. They can never be held accountable, even in the telling of the story of what really happened. And that's why we cannot let them get away with gutting our past like they're gutting the present and murdering the future.

Taking Stock of How Very Fucked We Are

This has been a bad week for the future of (gestures at everything) the world. Decisions have been made that will fuck us for years, if not forever. As the savagery of the administration of Donald Trump, our rapist president, snowballs, as the 10,000 person concentration camp warehouses are purchased, as corruption of a scale that should make Warren G. Harding come back from the dead and sodomize Trump with his teapot dome happens on a daily basis, as the rights of speech and assembly and press are routinely flushed down the law enforcement toilet, it's become clear that if Trump isn't going to do anything good for the world to make sure he's remembered, he may as well wreck the joint so he's never forgotten, like a wound that will never heal. 

How fucked are we? Extremely. Just two examples:

We're fucked when it comes to fighting disease. This week, the Food and Drug Administration (motto: "For some reason, we're run by people who seem to hate both food and drugs") declined to review the application for an mRNA flu shot from Moderna. I'm not gonna pretend to know the science behind it, but mRNA vaccines are more effective and more easily updated, and a flu version would save a fuckton of lives. Oh, and the reason the FDA gave, having to do with how Moderna conducted its clinical trials, is a fucking lie. We can go fuck ourselves with our older, less effective vaccine, which you should totally still get, that our Department of Health and Human Services will not encourage anyone to get.

The extra-ironic part of the whole thing is how much the United States has invested in Moderna in order to get mRNA vaccines going. That includes billions of dollars in grants in 2020 to get a Covid vaccine done, which was done quickly because of all the research before, again, thanks to the United States. Remember Operation Warp Speed? Remember who was president then before he realized that he needed the love of the antivax nutzoids? That's fucked in the head, in the ass, everywhere.

How fucked is it? Even before this, because of the decisions of noted toilet seat coke snorter Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., Moderna had decided to not invest in any late-stage vaccine trials. Said the CEO, "You cannot ‍make a return on investment if you don't have access to the U.S. market." So that means that mRNA research on, say, vaccines for Lyme disease and HIV, is done at Moderna, as is, likely, the development of more effective cancer therapies. Also, the trials for a general norovirus vaccine, which would help prevent the next pandemic, may well be scuttled. It's just fucked. And it's one of those things that fucks us far into the future.

The question is also what is going to be permanently fucked, as in we'll never recover. Sure, we may one day catch up on where we should have been with medical research. But some shit never gets better. It's like the difference between breaking your arm and losing it in a giant meat grinder. In one of those situations, you are never going to be the same, no matter how cool your robot arm is. 

So it went when Trump and EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin, another Trump administration official who looks at least 15 years older than he really is, smarmily announced that Trump was undoing President Obama's 2009 endangerment finding on greenhouse gases that led to regulation of emissions. It was an attempt by the Black president to do some goddamn good on the climate crisis, so, of course, in a White House filled with people for whom science is something you do when you saw the head off a beached whale for your own "research" and totally not so you can feel what it's like to fuck a whale skull, it had to go. 

The absolute dickish press release on it said, "The Trump EPA chooses consumer choice over posturing to climate change zealots every time." Apparently, simply believing in climate change makes you a zealot. I was going to quote from the press announcement from Trump and Zeldin, but just reading it made me want to throw the computer across the room. Just know that at one point, Trump dismisses any concerns about public health effects with "Don't worry about it because it has nothing to do with public health. This was all a scam, a giant scam. This was a ripoff of the country by Obama and Biden, and let's say Obama started it and got it rolling" and then he talks about prescription drug prices because of course he does.

It's the beginning of the end for the Clear Air Act, which is where the power to regulate greenhouse gases was found to come from by the Supreme Court in 2007. It's also of a piece with all the rollbacks of regulations and undermining of clean energy research and projects, with Trump's weird antagonism to windmills driving public policy. Instead, the Pentagon is being forced to purchase coal as a payoff to fossil fuel donors, and that's like saying, "Fuck satellites and cell phones. The military will now be investing in Morse code tappy things."

The laughable part of this EPA shit is the claim that it will save $1.3 trillion, a number that is an insult to asses to say that's where it was pulled out of. That will all come in the form of cheaper cars, which apparently is more important than a future for the planet. Emissions will grow until they are 3 times what they are now, according to one analysis. Beyond climate crisis weather, pollution will cause more death and illness, shit that, like measles, we thought we had mostly figured out how to move beyond (with some notably awful exceptions, like Cancer Alley in Louisiana). One estimate says it will cost $4.7 trillion in added expenses over the next two decades, and that's not even counting for the loss in research and innovation on other sources of power. As we're lapped by the Chinese and, well, just about every other industrialized economy on solar and wind and nuclear power, it will make us into the backwards third world shithole filled with dumbass white people, which I assume is when we'll be great again.

So, yeah, it's hard sometimes to comprehend how overwhelmingly fucked we are. But you gotta take stock and see where we are as we try to figure out how to unfuck some of this.

Trump's Goddamn Name

One of the more unpleasant things about living in the NYC area used to be that you were damned to see shit with the Trump name on it. That changed starting with Donald Trump's first election to the presidency. Then the people who lived at Trump Place on the west side of Manhattan pushed to have his big goddamn name taken off the front of the condo complex, and it was. They call it "Riverside South" now, which is what it was before Trump dick-stamped it. Used to be when you drove down the West Side Highway in the 70s, you passed a "Donald J. Trump" Adopt-a-Highway sign. That's gone, too. A lot of shit that Trump made agreements to hammer his goddamn name on no longer have that name there due to contracts not renewed and the fact that property values go down if that name is associated with it. 

It's one of those things that demonstrates what a moronic ego monster Trump is. He wants you to think his name is still associated with luxury (even if the supposed luxurious shit was never even remotely special) and success (which, well, other than tricking rubes into voting for him, raping girls and women, and laundering Russian oligarch cash, he isn't). And he wants some sense of permanence, a way to stay in this world even as he slips his morbidly obese mortal coil when he finally dies long after his expiration date.

Late last week, news came out that Trump made an offer to Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, a man who would fold with a full house in his hand. Back in October, Trump froze spending on an immensely needed new train tunnel between New Jersey and New York City, as well as expansion of the Second Avenue subway line. He then told Schumer he would release the billions of dollars if Schumer could get Washington, DC's Dulles Airport and New York's Penn Station named after him, Donald Trump. You got it? Critical infrastructure to the nation's largest city, which was delayed because another dickhead Republican, Chris Christie, had killed it, is being held hostage because the president of the United States needs to have his goddamn name plastered on it. He can't just do it himself, as he did with the Kennedy Center (which he really couldn't do by law, but it's not like anyone is gonna enforce the law with this chucklefuck) and the US Institute of Peace, just forcing his name on the buildings like they're 15 year-olds at Mar-a-Lago. 

Seriously, our simpleton president thinks his goddamn name needs to be on anything he's associated with, like he's spraying the furniture like a cat. It's like he saw "Obamacare" and thought, "I want that," forgetting that "Obamacare" was originally a derisive name that Republicans gave the Affordable Care Act because they thought it would fail. Now, like with his fake "university" and his garbage steaks, Trump keeps forcing the government to put his name on shit. There's Trump Accounts, which opens an account with $1000 in it for "every American child born between January 1, 2025 and December 31, 2028." The funds don't come from Trump. They come from the US Treasury (with some donations). But Trump Accounts are what they're called, you unpatriotic twatmite. And there's TrumpRx, which purports to be some fantasy of cheap drugs with prices negotiated by the federal government, except the prices are easily lower elsewhere, and you aren't buying drugs from the government. No, that would be socialism, you commie leech. TrumpRx gives you a coupon with a discount code to take to your pharmacy, just like Good Rx or your local supermarket flyer. Indeed, Good Rx or Mark Cuban's website are cheaper than TrumpRx, which just seems to exist to funnel funds into Trump's gaping maw.

There is something so gut-level pathetic here, like Trump's pathological need to be loved has merged with his carnival barker scammer self and his fear of dying without leaving anything worth a fuck on this earth. But the other element here is the one that overrides everything, and that is his mob boss belief that everything he does needs to be some deal that is advantageous to him personally. "What are you going to do for me?" is the way his lizard brain operates, even if doing something for him has nothing to do with things like congressionally-appropriated funding for a desperately needed project. The corollary to that is "What have you done for me?" and that came out in a couple of dumps on Truth Toilet. There, he posted that he was approving disaster relief funds for Tennessee and Mississippi, both states, as he points out, "I won three times!" 

We can't live like this, with the whims of a single insane man determining who wins and who loses, with him insisting that we all must call everything associated with the federal government by his goddamn name. But we also can't live with this pathetic loser desperate to be recognized as having done something great because to do so is to reward him for lying. He made up wars that he "solved" to get his name on a Nobel Prize. He claims to have done "more" for the country than any president ever, a demonstrative falsehood as prices climb higher and unrest is growing in the streets over the ICE savagery. He put his fucking flabby face on the annual national parks pass so you have to carry around his scowl for the year. He wants a fuckin' coin made with his dumb head on it. It's all part of a propaganda effort to take his incompetence and violence and corruption and turn us into one nation under him. Jesus fuck, even Victor Orban isn't this needy. Even Vladimir Putin doesn't spray his name on anything he can like an anxious toddler scrawling his barely-readable letters on walls and toys to claim them as his own. Even Xi Jinping isn't tossing his shit at everything to leave a smear to show he was there. 

Trump's goddamn name will need to be purged when he's gone. Jackhammered away, cut out, or bureaucratically removed. When he dies, we need to rid our nation of his monuments like they were Confederate statues made of Nazis.  I'm tired of that goddamn name, its ubiquity, its use as a weapon, its omnipresence. It's not marketing. It's abuse. 

Maybe we do need to leave his name on something, just to remind ourselves of what a shitty, destructive thing we did to the world. Maybe a monument to the defeat of MAGAism, a half-melted statue among a bunch of eternally burning red hats. Or maybe, if he ever is incarcerated for the insane number of crimes he's committed, we can name the prison he's held in after him. The Donald J. Trump Penitentiary for Traitors, War Criminals, and Donald Trump. 

Why Are We Not Purging People in the Epstein Files from the American Government?

I’ve been trying to write something about the newly-released tranche of Jeffrey Epstein files for the past couple of hours, and every time I tried to come up with something worth saying, I'd come across some absolutely terrible thing that's repulsive or chilling or in someway stomach turning and, you know, I don’t even know what point to make anymore about all of this. We know it’s awful, we know it's fucked. 

I mean, like you read emails between people who are procuring "young girls" for Epstein, you read this from someone to Epstein's assistant Leslie Groff, where someone was obviously grooming a girl but then failed to close the deal and says, "I have to tell you that unfortunately my meeting with the girl didn't go well yesterday. I knew this young girl for a while. I thought she is easy going and open mind. I couldn't talk with her over the phone about anything. So, we finally met and I realized that she is very conservative," and you just wonder how many people fucking knew and you figure it must be dozens, at least, and I'm talking beyond the victims.

I’ll come across something that that reveals just what a complete utter fucking douche Jeffrey Epstein, and everyone around him was and how all of these people were just begging for his approval and blessings and access to his "pussy network," as one puts it, and I just want them all burned to the ground, even if that includes Bill Gates or Noam Chomsky. Oh, sure, I suppose I could say something about about the various people that have come up. There's Epstein messaging Deepak Chopra at what I assume is the Aspen Ideas Festival, another circle jerk of celebrities and rich pukes, "my very close friends joi ito. head of mit media lab, ehud barak former defense ministere and prime misiter of israel are both in aspen with you, i have sent them notes that you are one of the family, they will find you if you don't find them first." The fuck does that mean, "one of the family"? Creepy shit right there. And why can't he fucking type? It's like one hand is on his dick at all times.

I could bring up all of these other scholars and other people who were some reason enamored by this fucking guy. The thing that gets me is Epstein was shit, a garbage person. His own messages and emails are loaded with dudebros and chicks all talking about pussy. Literally. One email exchange is Epstein asking someone whose name shouldn't be redacted, "Any pussy today?" and getting a "thumbs-up" photo in reply. Another is Epstein asking someone else (a woman, I think), "Any dick or pussy yet?" In another long text exchange, he brings up what he'd say to Congress: "With sasse calling for a senate hearing, I guess I can mimic kavanaugh. Yes senator I like pussy , pussy, yes. Don't you senator." Another email is just him sending someone a link to a photo of "huge pussy lips." Or this exchange where someone asks him, "What would be the 3 questions you would ask to Paul Allen if you were meeting him today?" Paul Allen co-founded Microsoft with Bill Gates. He gives two serious ones and then "third questions would you like to see my pussy." It's just the shittiest people acting in the shittiest ways all the goddamn time, like they never grew after hitting 12 years old, like most men with any money or power. (Yeah, I put "pussy" into the search field for the files. Someone had to.)

It's not just that people flattered him for money. They really truly believed (and perhaps were) friends with him, ready to defend him even when the worst charges were coming out, like Chomsky did in February 2019. We get all of these just unexpected people in there like Roger Schank, who was an early AI theorist, because Epstein believed he was part of some intellectual vanguard, working with great "thinkers" to lead the way to the future, which I assume included being able to round up and fuck all the young girls he wanted, you know, part and parcel of the insanity of rich people thinking they can get away with everything because they are rich and enough fucking idiots think that endows them with some kind of supernatural insight and that convinces most of them that they really do have that kind of insight and that's how we get people like Epstein and Trump and Elon Musk.

So I guess what I keep coming back to is we know who’s involved here. We know that, in some way, at some level, perhaps extensively, starting with being a child rapist, Donald Trump is implicated. We know that US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick is in there planning to visit Epstein's pedophile island. There's Musk, Steve Bannon, and all these people that are still somehow involved in our public life, and yet there’s no price, and I can’t get my head around that. I mean, I understand that rich people don’t get punished, but I also understand that rich people don’t get caught. That’s the thing. That’s why rich people get away with it. They don’t get caught. Everybody here is caught. 

Or at least accused, and accused with such detail and, in Trump's case, such consistency of stories, and so publicly (and we don't know what else still waits in the millions of pages that haven't been released, let alone the video recordings and photos), that it boggles the mind that we're not talking about a complete meltdown on Capitol Hill, if not the entire goddamned country. I remember when Barack Obama sat in the church where Reverent Jeremiah Wright preached and because Wright had occasionally said some controversial things, it almost undid Obama's candidacy in 2008. I remember Republicans (and some Democrats) losing their minds over the association and his presence in the space where Wright was. That proximity was enough. That was just with someone exercising multiple First Amendment rights. At the very least, Democrats and the Republicans who have made this a huge issue should be demanding a special counsel to investigate all of this, but that would mean independence from Trump and that shit just doesn't happen in this government. They should still push for it. And it should be in the front of voters' minds: you give us a majority and we will purge this government of the pedophiles. We will get justice for the victims who were treated so horrifically.
